Join us on Saturday December 2, at 7:30 in the evening, for our annual Community Christmas Concert. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or in advance from the office (see contact page), and cost $10 ($5 seniors and students).
Bobby Irvine, from Ayr, Scotland, will be joining our own brass band and choir this year as featured tenor soloist. His solos will include a Take Five version of “God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen”, Bob Chilcott’s “Mid Winter”, as well as popular Christmas songs, such as “Winter Wonderland” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. He will also bring to us musical theatre songs, including “If I Loved You” (Carousel), “Climb Every Mountain” (Sound of Music) and “Bring Him Home” (Les Misérables). (More…)
Yorkminster Citadel is the Salvation Army church standing at the junction of Yonge Street and the 401 highway.
Members of Yorkminster Citadel meet for worship every Sunday as well as at other times during the week. All worship services are open to the public and a warm welcome awaits everyone who visits Yorkminster Citadel.
Regular Sunday worship at Yorkminster includes readings from Scripture, a thoughtful and contemporary Bible message, time for prayer and reflection, and plenty of opportunity to sing modern worship songs as well as more traditional hymns. Music is provided by the Yorkminster Citadel Band and Songsters (choir).
The building is also used by other congregations.
Monday Night Adult Bible Study
This study group meets every Monday night at 7:00 pm in the Band Room. This is an opportunity to interact with God’s Word and to participate actively in our own spiritual growth. We will all be refreshed, renewed and transformed in and through the study of the Holy Spirit in Scripture. All adults are warmly welcomed.
If you are looking for fellowship with folk who share your life experience, we have a ministry for you. Our seniors are a highly valued part of our church family and continue to be actively involved in church ministry in many ways. At the Luncheon Club, all of those who attend are our jewels (i.e., OPALs, Optimistic People with Active Lives). Our OPALs meet at noon on the third Wednesday of each month for fellowship and a hot meal. So, all OPALs out there are welcome to consider joining us on Wednesday, December 20, for our Carol Sing and Christmas Lunch.
